Special Pair of Kittens are looking for a second chance together... [Jan. 3rd, 2011|11:57 pm]
Animals of Seattle

thekittylady
Corkscrew and Snowdrift are a sweet bonded pair of four month old brothers who were brought to Purrfect Pals after both kittens suffered major injuries in their home. Corkscrew had a mirror fall on him and had limited movement in his legs. Snowdrift was slammed in a door and had limited feeling in his rear legs. Both kitties have recovered very well. Corkscrew had to have one of his eyes removed due to the damage of the mirror falling on him, but is otherwise a very active kitten! Snowdrift can run and climb but his jumping is limited and his back legs sometimes will slide out from under him, but that doesn't stop him from running all over the place! These special kittens will require a home that has no kids under the age of 6 years old. They have been in a wonderful foster home with other cats and a large cat friendly dog.

Five kittens (now four months old) came to us at Purrfect Pals pretty much emaciated. We fed them, they recovered. Fat little boogers.

They're all up for adoption Tomorrow (Dec 11th) at the Everett PetsMart (map) along with many other cats and kittens.

Animals of Seattle

Support Purrfect Pals and have a fabulous evening at this year's Black Cat Ball Benefit Auction, to be held October 23, 2010 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and proceeds make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of cats and kittens every year! The cost to attend is $100 per person and includes a sumptuous vegetarian or vegan dinner including wine and champagne. There will be several hundred silent and live auction items on which to bid with values ranging from $20 up to several thousand dollars. This is a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping early - and the proceeds will benefit a great cause! In addition, attendees are invited to wear costumes and participate in the costume contest for prizes.

To receive an invitation or learn more about the event, please e-mail us at cats@purrfectpals.org (or call us at 360-652-9611, ext. 4) and mention you heard about the Black Cat Ball on Craigslist!

If you aren't able to attend the auction, you can still help us in several ways. We are looking for people who are willing to hang posters on the bulletin boards or in the windows of area businesses (especially eastside companies like Microsoft!). We also need Volunteers the night of the event to help pack up Purchased auction items, clean up, etc. It's not too late to donate items for the auction. Would your business be willing to donate a product, service or experience? For more information on how you can help us with this very important event, please reply to this posting.

Thank you Black Cat Ball Sponsors!

Come visit the new and improved Purrfect Pals Adoption Center inside the Kirkland PETCO! We just finished painting our new room and it looks great! Now our Purrfect Pals kitties are free to roam and play as long as a volunteer is with them. They love not being cooped up in cages all day!

We’re celebrating our Grand Opening with an Adoption Event from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, February 20th and we hope you will join us!

In addition to many wonderful cats and kittens who are looking for loving homes, we will have refreshments, gift bags for adopters and more!

Wanted: Really sensitive scale [Feb. 10th, 2010|04:52 pm]
Animals of Seattle

wyntermoonwolf
I'm trying to find a large & sensitive scale for weighing young and older kittens, needs to be accurate to the oz or 1/10th pound and be able to measure from 0.1 lb/oz up to at least 15 lbs and at least a square foot in size.

I have a food scale which works well for newborn kittens but if you've ever tried to weigh a 2 month old hyperactive kitten on a food scale, you'll know that a typical food scale simply won't do.

Human scales won't work and atypical baby scales from the major chains are a joke.

Anybody got any leads?
